<video:description>Meet Europa, the third largest of over 90 moons orbiting Jupiter. Europa is an ice moon and is the smoothest body in the entire solar system. Why so smooth? #Scientists believe that beneath Europa’s ice shell exterior is a giant ocean. Meanwhile back to that message in a bottle. NASA is launching a spacecraft called Clipper to explore Europa’s ice shell, and the ocean beneath it which might support life. And you are invited to have your name engraved on the Clipper spacecraft, before it launches in October 2024, beginning a six year journey to Europa. </video:description>

<video:description>A perspective of life and the journey we all take while watching a sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. This short video has no special effects or filters. It was simple a scene from the balcony on a cruise ship. The message, the mood, the vibration from the observer was not about schedules, work, stress, or any of the things that typically occupy the mind. In fact, everything felt like a distraction when compared to the beauty and focus of watching the sun sink into the sea. The gift of that pause and breath was one of peace and gratitude for life itself. </video:description>

      <video:title>How to Read the Moon</video:title>
<video:description>The moon has 8 phases which begin with the first phase called, New moon, where it is completely covered in shadow. The next seven phases occur with light, moving from the right side of the moon, to the left. Each of these movements are named, with the fullmoon being the most recognized phase of all. As the light moves from right to the left, you can see each of the 8 cycles from a new moon, to crescentmoon, quartermoon and full. The phases before a full moon are called, Waxing, as the sun illuminates more of the lunar surface. The phases after a full moon are called,Waning, because Earth’s shadow begins to cover more of the moon.
In all, it takes the moon 29.5 days to complete an eight phase cycle. This is called a Synodic, or Lunar month.</video:description>

<video:description>How much of the moon do we actually see? We only see about 59% of the entire moon because it’s tidally locked in its orbit with Earth. This is why we only see one side of the moon. Perhaps you’re wondering what the moon would look like if it revolved like Earth? Here is a visualisation based on the mapping of the entire moon. In all, it takes the moon 29.5 days to complete an eight phase cycle. This is called a synodic or lunar month. </video:description>

<video:title>What is the largest natural source of oxygen on Earth?</video:title>
<video:description>Oxygen is essential for life on Earth for humans, animals, fish and even insects.
Plants also use oxygen at night when photosynthesis is not occurring.
You probably thought trees were the largest natural source of our oxygen, right?
While trees, grass and plants contribute to our oxygen supply, they are not the largest source. Maybe you thought water evaporation was the answer? No, that’s not the right answer either. Evaporation doesn’t create oxygen, it’s only a change in state from liquid to gas. But you are close by thinking of water. If we look in the lakes and oceans, we can discover the source. The answer is Phytoplankton, the algae living in oceans and lakes
around the world.</video:description>

<video:title>What did the astronauts see on Apollo 13?</video:title>
<video:description>On April 11, 1970 Apollo 13 took off from the Kennedy space Center.
The plan was to land on the moon 250,000 miles away.
This would be the third lunar landing. Unfortunately, an oxygen tank exploded 56 hours into the mission. After the explosion, the spacecraft lost its main source of electrical power. Apollo 13 also lost the ability to sustain life support systems.
Landing on the moon was no longer possible. The mission was now about survival. The astronauts and Mission Control devised to plan to loop around the moon, using gravity and thrust to help propel them back to earth. They succeeded and mankind continued exploring space, and returned to the moon in future missions.
This video shows the view Apollo 13 astronauts had as they orbited the moon.

      <video:description>2023 Facts about the Sun!
In August 2022, NASA took images of the sun every 12 seconds for 133 days, using a special camera. The images were taken from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory. The video you are watching is a timelapse of each image put together over that time.
Multiple images were taken at different wavelengths. The video showcases the 17.1 nanometer wavelength. Did you know the sun rotates once every 27 days? The loops extending above the bright regions are magnetic fields that have trapped hot, glowing plasma. The bright regions are also the source of solar flares. Solar flares appear in bright flashes as magnetic fields snap together in a process called magnetic reconnection.</video:description>

The timing is critical for each launch as the Earth and Sun can be on opposite sides of the sun at times, making is far too long a journey (250 million miles+) Anyway, enjoy, imagine and be creative. <video:title>Shocking Facts About the International Space Station</video:title>
<video:description>International Space Station. Intriguing facts and surprising details about our orbiting tribute to peace and science.
The ISS orbits earth at approximately 250 miles above the surface.
To maintain orbit, the ISS moves at 17,500 mph.
At that speed the ISS orbits around the Earth every 90 minutes.
This means 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours.
The astronauts must exercise two hours per day to counteract the effects of low gravity on their body.
The ISS has a life boat in case of emergencies. The Russian Soyuz spacecraft.
The ISS is in constant freefall. Speed and thrust are used to maintain its orbit.
Astronauts typically stay on the ISS for six months.
The ISS has been occupied nonstop since November 2000.
The ISS produces its own oxygen via Electrolysis: splitting water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. (The water is sourced from water on the station, including urine, sweat, and water used in bathing. It is then filtered onboard for reuse, and creating oxygen)
The ISS has contributed to numerous advancements in biology physics, medicine and technology</video:description>

The size of the cloud complex, also called a nebula, is 14 light years across, making it almost 30,000 times the size of our solar system (Sun to Neptune). Rho Ophiuchi is a birth place of stars, approximately 50 stars in similarity to our sun are forming inside this beautiful constellation. NASA's James Webb Space Telescope took the images for the first year anniversary of the launch of JWST. Without lighting filters such as infrared the details of the constellation would not be as pronounced or dramatic.</video:description>

<video:title>Psyche: An Asteroid between Mars and Jupiter</video:title>
<video:description>Psyche: A 2023 mission to a metallic asteroid between Mars and Jupiter.
Imagine a metallic world, between Mars and Jupiter
With answers about the core of our own planet: Psyche
On October 5, 2023 an Orbiter, also named Psyche, will launch on a 4 year trip to reach the Psyche asteroid.
The Psyche mission will test a sophisticated new laser communication technology that encodes data in photons at near-infrared wavelengths (rather than radio waves) to communicate between a probe in deep space and Earth.
This will be a first for mankind, exploring a new type of world made of metal, not rock and ice.
Scientists have to infer the presence of metallic cores on Earth, because they lie unreachably far below our planets’ rocky mantles and crusts.
Because we cannot see or measure Earth’s core directly we can study Psyche and compare.
Psyche offers a unique window into the violent history of collisions and accretion that created terrestrial planets.
Psyche was found in 1852 by Italian astronomer Annibale de Gasparis, who named it for the goddess of the soul in ancient Greek mythology.
Psyche has an approximate diameter of 140 miles (226 KM), or about the length of Massachusetts without Cape Cod</video:description>

In 1886, the city of Paris began preparations for the World's Fair.
With only three years before the event, the city wanted an iconic 1,000-foot tower, the largest ever constructed by man, to mark Paris as the centerpiece of world technology and engineering. Gustave Eiffel had already contributed to the structure of the Statue of Liberty and was hesitant to build the tower, but he eventually provided plans developed by his engineers and was awarded the project.</video:description>

It took 4 years to finish the project and he didn't paint again for 24 more years...when he returned to paint the Last Judgement in the same chapel. Michelangelo was a sculptor, who had only painted a few frescoes yet his talent was so enormous that he was able to create the most famous ceiling in the world. He was only 32 when he started--had already created the La Pieta and David sculptures by this time! The ceiling was brutal, a height of 66 feet above the floor, and the artist made notes of how painful it was to work in acrobatic poses to reach the surfaces. Imagine bringing all your talent to any project, even the ones you do not wish to do...</video:description>

      <video:title>Surprising Facts about Luna - Our moon</video:title>
<video:description>We only see 59% of our moon because it is locked in a tidal orbit with Earth. The moon experiences seismic activities called moonquakes. They are caused by the gravitation between the Earth and Sun. According to Apollo astronauts who walked on the moon, the moon smells like gunpowder or burnt charcoal. The moon orbits Earth in an ellipse every 27.322 days. The marked locations in the video (when dark) are the landing points of the Apollo missions. The reason the moon appears larger or smaller in the sky is due to the elliptical orbit. The temperature on the moon ranges form 127c by day and -173c at night. Gravity on the moon is 1/6th of Earth's gravity. The moon has an exosphere made up of helium, neon, and other trace gases. The moon is one fourth the size of Earth and orbits us from ~253,000 miles away. Ancient sailors used the moon to navigate and measure time spent at sea.</video:description>

<video:description>Quantum Entanglement explained as an old legend
While this reel simplifies the research into quantum entanglement, it is worth noting that the implications of QE are massive. Study of particles that continue to repeat and return to certain states as if still in the same location as their counterpart is an amazing level of discovery. We do not know how this occurs but it has been repeated and proven. Just like our heart can connect with someone even from long distance, over great lengths of time. Jef Gray </video:description>

<video:description>Leonardo Davinci was an amazing and talented man, who despite having no formal education was a master of any and every field that caught his interest. Born to an unwed teenage woman in 1452, Da Vinci was raised by his father. Because he was an illegitimate son, Leonardo was not offered the chance to become a notary like his father. This gave him a freedom to pursuit art. But his interests were extensive and he studied everything imaginiable. He wrote 16,000 pages of notes and research in his private journals which are presented as excerpts in this video. Da Vinci was a true master, although he lived a life without a wife or children, he left behind an amazing legacy and masterpieces that draw more crowds every year than any other artist in history</video:description>

      <video:title>Alec and Mabel - A love story that rings a bell</video:title>
<video:description>The story about the inspiration and love behind the creation of the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. Alexander ‘Alec’ Bell moved to Cambridge with his parents in 1873 from Edinburgh, Scotland. His father and grandfather were experts in speech, and Alec followed in their research as a teacher of the deaf. Bell’s mother was also deaf. Bell was hired to teach at a school for the deaf, and was also hired to tutor Mabel Hubbard, whose father founded the school. Mabel had been deaf since five, after surviving scarlet fever.Bell became a friend of the Hubbard family, and Mr. Hubbard invested in Bell’s research in telegraphy. The original idea was to use a single telegraph wire and play multiple tones so that more than one conversation could be monitored and transmitted at the same time. As Bell worked toward sending different tones, in the fashion his expertise was used in teaching the dead, he came to the conclusion that transmitting the voice over a wire was more useful. Over the next 4 years he developed his improvements in telephone that he patented on Valentines Day in 1876. Jef Gray</video:description>

<video:title>AI Conceptual Video of Tourism on Mars in 2075</video:title>
<video:description>A conceptual video about tourism to mars in approximately 50 years. This is an artistic rendering not a scientific one. It would seem feasible that biospheres are the only way life on Mars will be possible, based on the lack of atmosphere. If a solar solution for heat could be used to convert local sand on Mars to a form of glass, then oxygen, water and heat can be conserved within the living spaces, allowing for growth of imported plants.Assuming the pioneers to Mars solve these issues, here is an idea of what it might look like.Did you know Mars has two moons? And that sound is very light there due to the lack of atmosphere? If we can solve all the limitations of Mars, maybe we could also learn to clean up the pollution on Earth in the process. All the locations in the video are actual points on the Mars surface, with exception of Oxidia--a fictional name based on the rusty iron oxide that makes Mars appear red.</video:description>

<video:description>An ASMR inspired narration of the Mystic Mountain nebula in the Carina constellation. This image, which is even more dramatic than fiction, captures the chaotic activity atop a pillar of gas and dust, three light-years tall, which is being eaten away by the brilliant light from nearby bright stars. The pillar is also being assaulted from within, as infant stars buried inside it fire off jets of gas that can be seen streaming from towering peaks. Locating the Mystic Mountain Nebula: Mystic Mountain lies within a stellar nursery called the Carina Nebula, located 7,500 light-years away in the southern constellation Carina. </video:description>

      <video:title>Intriguing Facts About Michelangelo</video:title>
<video:description>Surprising facts about Michelangelo - his art and sculpture has a back story! Hi, I’m Michelangelo and here are 5 facts about me, the last two will surprise you! First, I began working as an artist at the young age of 13. Within a year, I was taken in by the powerful Medici family, to work in their sculpture garden at Villa Costello. Second, By the time I was 23, I had created La Pieta , my masterpiece in Carrara marble. It was the only time I carved my name on my work. Third, When I was 26 years old, I sculpted a 17 foot statue of David. I chose a single block of marble, that had been used, and ruined by previous artists who abandoned it to the elements for 25 years. But I saw David in the stone and brought it to life. Now, for the surprise facts: I was practically forced by Pope Julius to paint the ceiling of the Sistine chapel. I was a sculptor and had no interest in fresco painting. It was a miserable, painful task, but I finished the work in 1512, And I didn’t touch a paintbrush again for over 24 years! And then in 1536, Pope Julius compelled me to return to the Sistine chapel, once again with my paintbrush, to paint the Last Judgement on the altar wall. Now you know the story behind some of my greatest works. </video:description>
