When Lama’s family tells her that they need to leave Syria, she reacts like any teenager who is forced to leave everything they know behind. Lama reluctantly follows her family to Sweden, where she struggles to accept and conform to her new situation. This documentary is about a 20-year-old woman’s decision to continue her journey on a life she didn’t choose. A poignant personal portrait of battling the fear of change and the courage to leave the place that feels like home. This film touches upon a highly topical issue and tells a story from an unique perspective.
