Background on the song: Jef Gray shared some original lyrics and a poetry reference with an AI music software, creating this amazing, although somewhat imperfect song. The lyrical title comes from a poem, Calmly We Walk through This April’s Day, by Delmore Schwartz (1938). The chosen line was “Time is the fire in which we burn.” Jef had originally heard the line in a Star Trek movie and searched for the source. After finding the Schwartz Poem, he decided to keep the reference going beyond Star Trek and ended up putting those words into the chorus of the song.
