Film makers are beginning to receive notifications of selection for the upcoming International Peace & Film Festival, scheduled for November 2015 in Orlando, FL.
Selections will continue through September 15, as the 1000+ submissions from 82 countries are reviewed and ranked. Meanwhile, film makers are taking advantage of the opportunity to show their films beyond the festival, via IPFF-TV the festival’s online channel application. Trailers for selected films will appear along with the Roku device debut set for mid July 2015.
International consulars and embassy posts have also been approached to participate in the festival, as representatives of their country. “The diplomatic response has been very positive, with almost immediate interest in attending due to the connection with international film, audiences and the connecting theme of peace.”, said Jef Gray, IPF Festival director.
Film submissions are open until September 15, as are opportunities for speakers, performers and most importantly, volunteers to assist with the project.

NASA scientist and engineer, Dr. Weiping Yu, will present “Unlocking the Mysteries of Universe: The Universe is simpler than we thought.” at the International Peace & Film Festival on November 14, 2015.
Dr. Yu has developed a new theory unifying all the field forces in the universe with one single fundamental particle. Using this theory, he is able to settle the centennial dispute between Einstein’s Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. During this presentation, the author will reveal the secrets of the origin of Electric Charge, the origin of Mass, the natures of Gravity, Dark Matter and Dark Energy. The author will also explain the mysteries of Quantum Mechanics Double Slit Experiment and Wave-Particle Duality paradox.
Dr. Weiping Yu is a scientist/physicist at NASA Kennedy Space Center. Yu holds a doctorate in Engineering Physics and is a pioneer researcher in theoretical and applied physics and the founder of the Universal Particle (Uon) Theory of Everything.
Dr. Yu is a contributing member of the American Physical Society (APS), the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is a senior member of NASA Speakers Bureau and a guest speaker at conferences, universities, and communities.
The goal of the festival is to foster the establishment of relationships through film, knowledge sharing and cultural exchange. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with represented countries, view exhibits, attend performances and educational sessions, watch independent films and experience cultural exchange on a personal level.
What are Knowledge Sharing Sessions?
The knowledge sharing sessions bring together discovery and research in Agriculture, Science & Technology, Health, Education and International Business. Industry leaders and explorers share their findings with the festival audience in a face to face environment, designed to inspire and educate. The idea of a knowledge share is quite simple; When one nation finds a success that helps its people, it is logical to assume that success can help other nations as well. The broad international audience at the festival provides a wide exposure for attendee and speaker alike. Knowledge Sharing sessions take place during the film festival, cultural performances and diplomatic appearances.

About:
The International Peace & Film festival combines the excitement of film with the goodwill of cultural exchange, knowledge sharing and live performances. The impact of blending a peace and film festival will bring mutual benefit to audiences and participants through the diversity of exhibits, national representation, cultural presentations and films focused on animation and family.
An interesting milestone clicked by as submissions continued to arrive at the International Peace & Film Festival (IPFF) in Orlando, Florida. 777 films in the combined categories of Feature, Documentary, Short and Student films were recorded and at the same moment, 77 countries were listed as the origin of those films.
The appeal of the festival, international peace through cultural exchange, has connected with film makers around the world. The impressive number of films and their origin is out shined by the speed in which the submissions occured, “We started the call for submissions just 10 days ago, and had no idea we would see such a rapid intake of films.”, said Jef Gray, Festival Founder and Director. Films continue to arrive by the hour via the festival’s portal on FilmFreeway.com and directly from film makers via email.
The festival combines international film with diplomats, culture, performances and industry speakers in a 4 day mind spin that will connect people from around the world as they gather in Orlando between 12 and 15 November, 2015. IPFF is sponsored by numerous vendors and the Russian-American Community Center of Florida.
In it’s first week on call, the International Peace & Film Festival received over 500 films submitted from 66 countries. That’s just the first week, there will be more! While this is exciting news for the festival, we need help in sorting through the films to find the best of the best.
If you’d like to volunteer to be a “Screener” please click below. Previous experience is nice but not necessary, you mainly need to love film, have a culturally diverse background and be able to review films based on the established criteria of the festival.
C’mon, how many people get to see the newest movies from around the world? It’s a fun but serious task and we need your help!

The event features a unique combination of official and cultural representation along with numerous unexpected highlights.
“This is not a hippie peace festival”, jokes festival chairman, Jef Gray. “It’s designed to enlighten the audience through international film, culture, amazing food and the opportunity to interact with national delegates.”
The festival is segmented into programs as follows:
Attendance at the festival is expected to be high and filled with non stop photo opportunities as each person is encouraged to wear their national costume or colors of their flag.
